FAU-G: Domination – A New Chapter in Indian Gaming
The much-anticipated game is now available for pre-registration on the Google Play Store for Android users, with plans for an iOS and iPadOS release to follow shortly. This announcement was made during the FAU-G: Domination World Premiere Event, held in Mumbai on September 5th. The event was graced by Bollywood megastar Akshay Kumar, a proud mentor for the FAU-G franchise, who unveiled an exhilarating gameplay trailer that had fans buzzing with excitement.
Nazara Technologies’ founder, Nitish Mittersain, expressed his excitement at the event, saying, “We’re thrilled to finally showcase FAU-G: Domination and open pre-registrations. The game has undergone thorough public testing, confirming what we believed — that FAU-G: Domination meets the demand of Indian gamers for locally relevant content.”
A Glimpse into the Game
At its core, FAU-G: Domination is a 5v5 multiplayer shooter, where two teams of five face off in intense battle scenarios. The game is steeped in modern military aesthetics, complete with Indian characters boasting unique backstories. Whether you prefer tactical team-based combat or a solo “one-man army” approach, the game offers multiple modes to satisfy your competitive cravings. Each game mode will feature distinctive rules and winning scenarios, adding variety and challenge to the experience.
To further engage players, nCore has integrated an in-game economy through battle passes and cosmetic items, allowing gamers to customize characters, gear, and profiles. Players who pre-register will be rewarded with exclusive in-game cosmetics known as the “Beast Collection,” which includes six accessories and six weapon skins for an immersive and personalized gaming experience.
Dot9 Games Takes the Lead in Development
FAU-G: Domination has been developed by Mumbai-based Dot9 Games, a studio founded in 2021 by Deepak Ail, Srinivasan Veeraraghavan, Kaiwan Yezdani, and Prasad Ramdas. The studio is backed by nCore and is composed of veterans who previously worked with nCore’s founder, Vishal Gondal, at his earlier venture Indiagames (later acquired by Disney in 2011). This partnership signifies a powerful resurgence in Indian game development, with FAU-G: Domination showcasing the country’s growing talent and potential.
“India has incredible talent in game design and development,” said Gondal, “and with Nazara’s expertise, we’re excited to bring this Made-in-India game to the global stage.”
A Game Rooted in National Pride
Beyond the gameplay, FAU-G: Domination takes a deeper, more patriotic approach. In collaboration with Pune-based defense manufacturer NIBE Limited, the game incorporates real-life representations of India’s defense sector, giving players a closer look at the nation’s self-reliant efforts.
Ganesh Nibe, Chairman and Managing Director of NIBE Group, expressed pride in this collaboration, stating, “FAU-G: Domination provides a platform to highlight what keeps India safe, showcasing it to the next generation of digital natives.”
Additionally, Nazara Technologies pledged to donate Rs 25 lakh to the Bharat Ke Veer Trust, a charitable initiative supporting the families of armed forces martyrs. Specific cosmetic items within the game, such as badges, will be dedicated to this cause, with all proceeds from their sales going directly to the trust.
The Future of Indian Gaming
India’s gaming industry is experiencing exponential growth, and FAU-G: Domination is arriving at a pivotal moment. According to market research firm Niko Partners, India is currently the fastest-growing gaming market in Asia, with projected gaming revenues reaching $943 million by 2024. This trajectory is expected to continue, surpassing $1 billion in revenue by 2025 and hitting $1.4 billion by 2028.
With FAU-G: Domination, India is staking its claim on the global gaming stage, proving that it is not just a participant but a future leader in the gaming world. As Indian studios continue to push boundaries, the future of gaming in the country looks brighter than ever.
